Hamsa

The Hamsa symbol is the universal Hand sign of protection, power and strength that dates back to ancient Mesopotamia. Also commonly known as the Hand of Fatima in Islam and Hand of Miriam in Judaism, it is commonly believed to protect against the evil eye and all negative energy.

I love the Hamsa symbol and what it represents, therefore it was not long before this connection would be turned into a crochet pattern. Below you will find the patterns that I have created with this iconic hand. Use your motif to add to a cushion or t-shirt. Crochet with any yarn of your choice to create varying sizes. Thread yarn will make a beautiful set of earrings while extra thick yarn would make a beautiful crochet Hand of Fatima cushion for your space. I would love to see your work.

Each of my pattern includes a full step by step written photo tutorial to help you create your pattern. Love, Roseanna.
