Crochet Jasmine Workshop

Join Moara Crochet at Manchester Wool & yarn ltd for a fun and creative session on crocheting your very own Jasmine Scarf!

A workshop perfect for those who are ready to push their crochet skills to the next level, to create a crochet scarf full of texture and detail. For this workshop you should know how to crochet basic stitches – slip knot, slip stitch (slst), single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc) before you begin this class.

We will cover together intermediate skills such as cluster puff chain foundation, jasmine stitch, working in the round, reading the pattern and chart and how to alter the scarf to your desired measurments.

In this workshop I will show you step by step how to crochet this advance stitch to create a beautiful Jasmine Flower scarf. This crochet stitch forms lines of bursting flower puffs, creating a textural delicate scarf which will keep you warm and snug during the colder months.

To create your crochet scarf you will need to bring your own yarn which can be either fingering or DK weight. This is a versatile pattern which works beautifully in many different yarn bases. You can make your scarf in one fiber or twin two fibers together, such as merino wool 4ply yarn and a strand of mohair to create a truly luxurious scarf.

Materials included in the workshop:

• In house tutorial showing you how to crochet Jasmine stitch
• Step by step worksheet and PDF
• Link to a Youtube video which can be accessed after the workshop

Participants will need to bring:

• 400 meters of Fingering | 4ply or Sport weight yarn or 230 meters of DK yarn of your choice to create your scarf.
• 3 – 3.5mm crochet hook for Fingering weight yarn, or 4 – 4.5mm crochet hook for DK weight yarn. Ideally bringing at least a couple of different hooks would be great, to enable us to play with tension.
• Stitch Marker
• Scissors
• Tapestry Needle

Additional – it may also be helpful to bring a pen to make your own notations on the given worksheets or in a small notebook as often these notes are really helpful as an aide memoire after the class has finished.

A refund of payment for a class will be given for cancellations only if the spot can be filled by another student, minus a 10% admin fee. Please be considerate.
