To celebrate the arrival of Summer for you, I have created a Crochet Dahlia flower as this months FREE Crochet Pattern. It has been a little while since I released a free pattern, so it only seemed right to come back with one of the biggest bloomers of the season. How to Assemble Crochet Dahlia Flower
Add the stuffing to the opening at the back of the flower. If you wish to add florist wire. Cut a piece of florist wire 50cm, thread it through the bottom of the sepal to the half way point (25cm) next thread the second half on the other side, once both pieces are though the magic circle twist the wire to hold in place. Your flower stem will now be 25cm long, as the wire is doubled. Using the long tail of the sepal, attached the sepal motif to the bottom of the bloom. Sew around the motifs to ensure the bloom and sepal are central.
Thread the long tail of the sepal into the center of the sepal and bring the thread to the bottom, carefully wind the thread around the florist wire to cover from top to tip. Fasten off and weave in your ends.
Pinch each of the flower blooms to create a pointed tip.
