Crochet Rain Drop Bunting Free Pattern Moara Crochet

Materials

  • 2.5mm (US C/2) Crochet hook
  • 30 meters 4ply cotton yarn (per droplet)
  • Stuffing
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Fishing wire

Gauge: 20 stitches and 10 rows to measure 10 x 10 (4x4in) over dc sts

Size: 9cm in length x 6.5 cm width.

Notes: Each droplet is made with two pieces. First motif is made & fastened off the second is continued with row 10 which connects both pieces together.

Instructions

Row 1: Make a magic circle. Ch3 (count as first dc), 6dc in circle, DO NOT CLOSE MAGIC CIRCLE. Turn. Total: 7dc.

Row 2: Ch3 (count as first dc), dc in the same st, 6dc inc. Turn. Total: 14 stitches.

Crochet Droplet Garland Row 2 Moara Crochet

Row 3: Ch3 (count as first dc),dc in the same st, *(dc inc., dc)* repeat * 5 more times. Turn. Total: 21 stitches.

Row 4: Turn your motif to work into the flat side of the semi-circle. Each dc will have 2 stitches. Ch2 (count as the beginning of dc dec.), complete dc dec. in next st, 2dc in next st, 2dc in next st, dc in magic circle, now close the circle tight, 2dc in next st, 2dc in necxt st, de dec. over last st. Turn. Total: 11 stitches.

Row 5: Ch2 (count as the beginning of dc dec.), complete dc dec. in next st, 7dc, de dec. Turn. Total: 9 stitches.

Row 6: Ch2 (count as the beginning of dc dec.), complete dc dec. in next st, 5dc, de dec. Turn. Total: 7 stitches.

Row 7: Ch2 (count as the beginning of dc dec.), complete dc dec. in next st, 3dc, de dec. Turn. Total: 5 stitches.

Row 8: Ch2 (count as the beginning of dc dec.), complete dc dec. in next st, dc, de dec. Turn. Total: 3 stitches.

Row 9: Ch2 (count as the beginning of triple dc dec.), complete triple dc dec. over last 2 sts. Total: 1 stitch.

Crochet Droplet Garland Row 9 Moara Crochet

First motif, fasten off & weave in your ends. For the 2nd motif DO NOT cut your yarn. Fasten off the magic circle in the middle only.

Align both motifs back to back (the center of the magic circle will be on the inside). Turn your crochet to the side as you sc both layers together, with 2sc for each dc row (rows 4-9), sc in each of the semi-circle stitches, IF YOU ARE ADDING STUFFING STOP HERE and add a small amount of stuffing. Continue with 2sc in each dc row on the opposite side, 3 sc in the top tip, sl st into the first sc. Total: 45sc. Fasten off & weave in your ends.

Crochet Droplet Garland Row 10 Moara Crochet

Repeat for as many droplets as you wish.

Tie

Cut some fishing wire to your desired length, arrange you droplets in the combination that you like. Sew your droplets in place as you wish.
