Free Crochet Pattern |Crochet Leaf Soap Saver

Crochet your own beautiful leaf soap saver using my first FREE CROCHET PATTERN! A quick project, which can be made in under a hour. The texture of the stitches not only look beautiful but also help exfoliate & massage your skin while you are in the shower. Plus this gorgeous little crochet soap cover will help you enjoy your luxury soaps for longer.

Each free crochet pattern will be made with both a photo tutorial & a video tutorial.

Materials

  • 3.5mm (US E) Crochet hook
  • 100 meters DK cotton yarn
  • 2 beads of your choice I have used natural coconut beads
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors

Gauge: 19 stitches and 10 rows to measure 10 x 10 (4x4in) over dc sts.

Size: Using DK yarn & a 3.5mm crochet hook my massage crochet soap saver 8.5 x 11.5cm in size.

Notes: Patterns is worked in the round with the use of back and front post dc to create the detailing. Ch3 will be counted as a dc.

Instructions

Row 1: Chain 16, 2dc in the 4th from the hook (count as first ch from the foundation ch & the 3dc), 11dc, 3dc in final ch, turn your work to crochet into the other side of the foundation ch, 11dc, sl st into the first dc. Total: 28dc.

Row 2: Most of the dc’s will be worked into the back post of dc with the leaf motif being worked into the front posts. Ch3 (count as dc), 7bpdc, fpdc, 19bpdc, slst into the first dc.

Row 3: Ch3*, 7bpdc, (fpdc, ch1, fpdc), 19bpdc, slst into the first dc.

Row 14: Ch3*, 27bpdc, slst into the first dc.

Row 15: Ch3*, 27dc, slst into the first dc. Fasten off weave in the ends.

Tie

Ch 60. Fasten off. Weave the tie in & out of row 15 starting from the right side. Thread two beads onto both strings to make a pull closure. Tie both string ends together. Cut off the excess yarn.
