Let me introduce you to my little crochet penguin Pedro. During our time ‘cocooning’ me & pod started to do yoga together with the help of Cosmickids. Each day just before lunch we have & still are doing some little kids yoga together. If you have not tried these amazing story telling yoga videos, give it a try with your little ones. During the past few months we have tried nearly all of the younger children videos, with Pod getting very attached to Pedro the Penguin who goes to the fun fair. To continue her imaginative story & experience I felt I had to create a crochet penguin.
Once I had set my mind to create our little new friend I told Pod that we would be having a visitor to stay with us, Pedro Penguin. It was so nice to see the excitement in our little ones face, we continued the story as you would for Christmas & we got our home ready for the arrival of the little penguin to our home on the following Saturday.
When the day arrived the first thing Pod said when she awoke was ‘Penguin!’. After breakfast there was a tapping on the window with a little Penguin waiting to enter. The joy on my little girls face is something I will treasure for a long time. Now each day Pedro the crochet Penguin joins us for our daily yoga sessions & has his own Goldfish in his little bag so he does not want to eat the fish at the Funfair.
If you would like to make your own Pedro Penguin you can. My pattern includes both the hat & scarf which are crocheted not knit plus his little bag & tasty fish lunch. Pattern available in my ETSY, RAVELRY or LOVE CROCHET store.
