Today I am sharing with you my Crochet Violet Pattern to celebrate all of those who are born in the month of February. Commonly known as the blue violet this small perennial is found in meadows of North America. This beautiful little flower is the symbol of modesty, humility, faithfulness, wisdom, loyalty, remembrance and also love.
The second birth flower for February is the Primrose flower. The Primrose represent, youth, renewal, beauty, optimism, young love, and budding romance. If you would like to make my Crochet Birth Flower for February click HERE.
This is an advanced beginner crochet flower pattern. You can create your flower with nearly any yarn you have in your stash. Make your flowers in purples of blues. You can make your flower with any yarn and matching sized crochet hook (although you do want to keep your stitches tight, so use the smallest crochet hook you can for your sized yarn). Depending on the size of yarn you use, will increase or decrease your sized flower, but I can promise they will all be beautiful. To create a little cluster as I have you will need to make 3 flowers. This is the pattern for the flower only, if you would like the pattern with the leaves this is available to buy in my website shop or my Etsy Store.
My free Crochet Violet pattern is written below with a simple step by step written | photo tutorial. Or if you prefer a video tutorial, I have also made a Youtube video.

Step 2: Bend the florist wire in half, thread this through the center of the flower weaving the wire in and out of the first 3 rows to secure.
Step 3: Thread a 2 meter piece of green yarn through the base of the flower, carefully wrap the yarn around the folded wire. Next fold the tips of the wire, up against the stem, continue wrapping the yarn around all the wires (this will create a smooth tip), once you reach the end. Fasten off and weave in your ends.
