Add some crochet love to your dining with my free crochet placemat pattern. Inspired by traditional wicker woven placemats with a more open design I have create the crochet flower placemat, perfect to add some boho charm to your table setting. To get a rustic feel I have simply used parcel twine.

My free Crochet Placemat pattern is written below with a simple step by step written photo tutorial or if you prefer a video tutorial, I have also made a Youtube video.
Materials
- 75 meters twine or DK cotton yarn
- Matching crochet hook to your yarn I have used a 3.5mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Gauge: 14dc stitches x 6 rows for a 10 x 10cm square.
Size: With my twine & 3.5mm crochet hook my placemat is 25cm in diameter.
Notes: The placemats are worked in the round. To ensure the petals are evenly spaced block your mat.aves placed around the stem.
Free Crochet Placemat Pattern
Row 1: Chain 5, sl st into the first chain to make a circle. Chain 1, 8sc into the center of the circle, sl st into the first st. Total: 8sc.
Row 2: Chain 7 (count as tr, ch3), *tr ch3* repeat * to * 6 more times, slst into the first tr.
Row 3: *(Sc, chain 21, sc into the same st), 3sc in the chain 3 space* repeat * to * 7 more times, sl st into the first st.
Row 4: *skip st (the sc before the chains), sc, hdc, 8dc, dc triple inc. (3dc in the same stitch), 8dc, hdc, sc, skip st, 3sc * repeat * to * 7 more times, sl st into the first stitch.
Fasten off & weave in your ends.
Row 5: Attach yarn to the 2nd stitch of the dc triple increase (at the tip of the petal) ch1, *sc, ch12, skip 25 st* repeat * to * 7 more times, sl st in the first st.
Row 6: Chain 1, sc into the same st, 95sc, sl st into the first stitch.
Row 7: Chain 1, *sc inc., 12sc* repeat * to * 7 more times, sl st into the first stitch. Total: 108sc. Fasten off & weave in the ends.
Block your crochet placemat ensuring the petals are evenly spaced.
