As Autumn arrives keep snug and cozy with my new FREE Crochet Scarf pattern is partnership with Pom Pom Publishing and Hobbi Yarns. A big cozy triangle scarf which will keep you warm during the transitional season of Autumn through to Winter.
This pattern was inspired by my travels back to the UK in late summer, last year. I was traveling through the Suffolk fields, past miles and miles of golden wheat which was drying against the warm golden sunset. It was a beautiful image and one which stayed with me, so much so that I had to transform this image into crochet. To create this scarf, I have used textured stitches to create the raised forms of the wheat against a simple background.
To create this pattern, I was kindly gifted a new collection of yarn from Pom Pom called Garland. This is a new blend of yarn, created from a combination of Cotton 70% and aplaca 30%. This is a beautiful yarn which worked well for the transition of seasons, the cotton keeps the structure and form while the alpaca creates warmth and a halo to the scarf.

This is not a beginner pattern. You will need to have some experience with crochet. The scarf is one sided with a defined front and back, which is worked from the bottom up. The raised wheat motifs are created using front post stitches, and a leaf modified stitch which I have created for this pattern.
