Learn how to triple crochet in a few easy steps. Triple crochet is also known as treble crochet with the abbreviation (tr). This stitch is a simple extension of the dc creating added height. I have used this in a variety of both my crochet clothing patterns & free crochet patterns to create added texture or lightness to my designs.

Notes
- Treble crochet stitch is a simple addition of one more yarn over at the beginning compared to a standard double crochet stitch.
How to Triple Crochet
Step 1: Yarn over twice (3 on the hook).
Step 2: Insert hook into the stitch, pick up the yarn, now you will have 4 on your hook.
Step 3: Yarn over pull through first two loops on the hook, now you will have 3 on your hook.
Step 4: Yarn over pull through next two loops on the hook, now you will have 2 on your hook.
Step 5: Yarn over pull through last two loops on the hook. Finished, now you know how to treble crochet!
